Certificate of silence

Yes, you are just one person against the system, yes, you are weak and yeah, nobody pays attention to you! You can change nothing by yourself… This world is so mean, nobody tries to make thing better, the mentalities are impossible to change… But if you would have the power to change things or if you would have the money, you would show them! Unfortunately you cannot, your hands are tied!

"We have such a beautiful country… but unfortunately the people are uncivilized and the parochial… The long years of Ottoman rule and the communist regime are to blame for this shitty situation! Yes sir, the Ottomans, the Fanariots boyars, the soviets and the communists are to blame! The brought all the corruption, the backwardness and the ignorance we have to deal with now!!! Amin, we solved the problem! Corruption? We know all about that! Every Romanian is an expert in corruption matters. Even the guests in Teo's TV show are experts in corruption and have universal solutions to corruption… We were born and raised in a corrupt society. We lived all our lives in corruption. Everybody is corrupt; everybody is doing it, so why should we be the suckers? It is nice and comfortable to make everybody an accomplice, isn't it? We're all in this corruption; we're all the same! NOT TRUE!!!! We're all sitting in neck-deep shit, we know it smells bad but still we stay there because it is warm, it is safe! Course, we get mad from time to time, we blow some steam, but the certificate of silence is our trusted excuse. Our government abuses are business as usual: "Yes, the Prime-minister invited a curious journalist to count his eggs. So what? That does not concern me. Yeah, the Prime-minister sent a political letter for school principals to read at the opening of the school year. That is not fair… school should be free of politics, but who am I to do something? And what can I do? Yes, my mayor gives contracts without a transparent auction to his wife's firms and steals from public funds, but this is what all mayors do… Yes, the state or private owned monopoles are raising the prices again and the government is developing new taxes to skin us alive, but what can I do? Yes, the doctors are defending one another against malpraxis charges, the notars are asking for bigger fees. Nobody is defending me, the average citizen! By the way, do you know is something happened with Carmen Paunescu, after the car accident in which she killed 3 people and destroyed another life??? No, but she is a senator's wife, so… The political circus has just started… But what can I do, I am just a simple citizen!"

Well I say ENOUGH! Enough of beaching around and feeling sorry for ourselves! You can change things! I can change things! We have to start making changes! Each of us and all together, we can make things better, we can make things right! APDR says ENOUGH / STOP to corruption, apathy, ignorance and discrimination! Join APDR in the crusade - enlist in our data-base because we are stronger if we are united! Help us help everybody! Show the shit-heads you deserve better!
